"Teddy" is a 2012 gelding by Mezcalero out of a jockey club thoroughbred mare with a big build. His sire Mezcalero competed in many international competitions and World Cup qualifiers. Mezcalero has sired several top level jumpers such as Apache, who is proven internationally in CSI3*, CSI4* and CSI5* jumping competitions up to 1.60 meters under Ashlee Bond and Richard Spooner.
Teddy is a big yearling that is expected to mature to 17+ hands. He is easy to handle, picks up all four feet, halter broke and leads, gets in and out of the trailer, bathes, clips, and stands tied, cross ties. He leads around with a bridle and saddle. He has been free jumped once, was very willing and showed great potential. Wonderful yearling to be around, very trustworthy and well behaved. Handled by a 12 year old, not mouthy, no vices, no health issues.
