Utopie’s international show jumping career is no secret, with many years at the 1.60m level under Marc Houtzager, Candice King, Tiffany Foster, and Kirsten Coe. His lineage highlights 1.60m performance on both sides through Jacomar, Ramiro Z, and Calvados. During his breeding career, Utopie has produced a number of 1.30m+ competitors out of his early progeny. Recent foal crops have included several top Hanoverian and Gold Medal foals. His foals are a good type and beautiful movers with performance tests highlighting their jump abilities. Utopie himself is a light type with plenty of blood for modern sport.

The dam of this foal, Exmoor Xandy Z, is a SHBGB mare with a sport career in eventing, primarily with a junior as a young horse, before being acquired for my broodmare program. Her sire, Cevin Z, is highly regarded for his talent, pedigree (Coriall x Carthago Z), and his temperament which he certainly passed on. Cevin Z jumped to 1.50m himself and has produced many 1.30m-1.60m and upper level eventing progeny. Her dam line brings in the soundness, bone, and heart that Irish Sporthorses are known for while maintaining a high percentage (>50%) TB blood.

The temperament and athleticism through both the sire and dam lines cannot be overstated. This foal will be a fabulous and modern amateur jumper (could potentially cross to eventing) prospect with top notch character for someone interested in developing a talented and good-minded future partner. After personally getting to know the mare as well as a number of Utopie progeny, this cross should be an absolutely easily trainable athlete.
