Total Eclipse has a good temperament, is easy to handle and is quick to learn. He loaded easily on truck and trailer with his dam and we will start teaching him to load by himself. He does not bite or kick and shows curiosity and patience in new situations.
Total Eclipse would almost certainly make an excellent stallion prospect with his athletic potential, conformation and movement as well as his workable manner. In the right hands, this amazing young horse is likely to excel in performance as his pedigree on both sides indicates that he has enormous Dressage potential and is likely to show talent in jumping.
He is of the type of the most successful Totilas offspring, being tall and robust with commanding presence. He has been to two foal shows, where he was awarded premium status by the British Hanoverian Society.
His sire, Totilas, represents the best in European Warmblood sport horse breeding. He was renowned as one of the most outstanding dressage performers ever, and was the first in the world to score over 90 in international competition. As Totilas is now deceased his foals are likely to become more and more rare.
The mother of Total Eclipse is the German Hanoverian mare, Eclipse, who was imported from Germany to UK. She started in dressage as a five-year-old but retired early due to injury and became a brood mare, producing several premium foals. Her pedigree boasts many State Premium mares and stellar jumping sires including Calypso II, Cor de la Bryere and Escudo. She is a robust type, typical of her bloodline, and has a wonderful temperament which she passes on to her offspring.
