Coming five year old, imported, Connemara gelding "Hero" is wise beyond his years. He is sweet, straightforward, sensible and so cute, he already has some show experience, and is easy in every way. He shows talent for dressage, eventing, or hunter/jumpers. Hero has an incredible attitude - he’s always thoughtful, quiet, and non-reactive. Ridden and handled by children and adult amateurs, this one is ready to be someone’s best friend and adventure partner!

Before import, Hero was lightly shown in Ireland, winning the Stepping Stones to Success Young Event Horse League. He received the highest dressage score in his section, with nine out of 10 for general impression, nine out of 10 for submissiveness and 9.5 out of 10 for his canter, with lots of positive comments. Hero has a great performance pedigree, being by Newbridge Bosco out of Corner House Lady, a mare who is by Glencarrig Prince, one of the outstanding Connemara stallions of the last 20 years. Thanks to this pedigree, Hero is a super jumping pony with lots of scope and a very brave on cross country, jumping everything in his path.

Since import he’s proven himself to be very easy at hunter/jumper and eventing shows, and has competed through the .80s, 2'3" hunters, and starter level eventing. Hero has schooled Novice and Training cross country with ease, as well as training/first level dressage. Hero brings confidence to his rider on the flat and over fences. He's also happy to go down the trail alone or in company.

Hero behaves well for the vet, shoer, and bathing. Hero is very good to trailer, and will stand tied at the trailer in a new situation with no trouble. He loves trail rides and grooming, and is often handled by children and amateurs who find him easy to deal with.
