Tango is a 2004, 16.1 hand Trakehner gelding sired by the German Takehener stallion, Happy Hour, who was sired by the world-renowned German Trakehner stallion, Induc. His dam is Tarentella by Tannenberg *E*.
Tango has a great work ethic and really wants to please his rider. He does lead changes and lateral work. He has a great and willing disposition. He has been shown at the Prix St. George level by a professional and earned her, her silver medal.
I feel at this point in Tango's career, he would do best at up to Third Level work. He does require some routine maintenance (injections and chiropractic) and I want his career to last a long time. He didn't work much over the winter and is slowly getting back into it.
He would do well with an adult amateur or young rider in a training program. He puts in a 110% with everything he does and is a great horse to ride. He has scored consistently in the upper 60s and low 70's on all dressage tests. Tango has been through an inspection and was rated 7 for his movements at age 4. He has a lifetime horse USDF number is registered with ATA and has the Trakehner brand.
Tango is up to date with Coggins, teeth and vaccinations. He does wear front shoes. In last exam, a heart murmur was detected. After an echocardiogram, he can work with no restrictions. Something to be monitored over his lifetime.
I am happy to answer any other questions you may have. He truly is a horse of a life time and the best home possible is a must as this is a very difficult decision for me.
