This foal will be a three-peat, as the last two foals have just been so good. The colt from 2015 is an elegant athlete who should be defined by his looks and gaits, but impresses even more with his lovely, biddable, and serene temperament. He is long lined and long legged, with a fantastic canter and walk, and is now on his way to a great career in California.
The filly of 2016 is the feminine version of her brother, with all the same traits plus the refinement one looks for in a filly. Her character is perfect: cooperative, smart, and tuned in, and her gaits are far above average, highlighted by lightness and engagement of the hindquarters. I am so taken with her I couldn’t offer her for sale, meaning that the next foal must go.
A look at the pictures should give you some idea of what to expect, but for the word people out there: this foal should be long legged and tall, with a lovely topline, neck, and head, correct limbs, and a temperament to die for. Walk and canter will probably be the strongest gaits, meaning that the trot will be easy to develop.
The foal is sired by Floriscount (Florencio x Donnerhall/Walldorf), an 11 year-old stallion based in Germany, where he has established himself as a powerhouse in the dressage arena and the breeding shed. The imposing liver chestnut has wins up to Intermediate I in international competition, dueled for first place in the prestigious Burgpokal (PSG), and was awarded the VTV prize by his native Oldenburg registry, an award granted for excellence in competition. Clearly the stallion himself has presence and movement to spare, and just as importantly rideability, all of which he tends to pass on to his offspring, leading to his standing in the top 5% of dressage stallions with a rating of 156.
Dam Djanga (Dacaprio x Regazzoni/Cor Noir) was top foal at her AHS inspection, Midwest Regional Champion in the GAIC/USDF Breeders Championship Series (with scores in hand up to 86.7%), top mare in both her inspection and her MPT, and the Hartwig prize winner with the AHS in 2012 (this prize is awarded to a three or four year old, domestically-bred mare with the highest combined score in the inspection and the MPT). She is a stunning mare with a bold personality, afraid of nothing, and a very strong jumper.
I am offering this foal at a great price to reduce my own temptation to keep it once it is born. The contract will protect the buyer from both crippling birth defects and less severe deformities likely to impede a successful career in sport while locking in a low price.
