Uthyr is an incredible Friesian stallion, very sadly offered for sale because I'm very petite and he's gotten too wide for me to ride effectively. This is a dream horse - he has the best mind ever, virtually bombproof, and very well socialized. Although he's a stallion, he has been ridden in shows, clinics, trail rides, has been stabled next to mares, even foals, and is always a perfect gentleman. Ridden by an adult ammie (although he's currently in professional training). He is invited back everywhere he goes. Wonderful mover - three great gaits, including a fabulous, uphill, ground covering canter, often scores 8s on his canter work. Shown through First level, schooling all 2nd level and much of 3rd level work. Debuted 2nd Level in March with scores in mid 60s and 1st and 3rd place. Shown in highly competitive California show circuit, and has done quite well, including 6th place at USDF Regional Championships First Level Open in a class full of top quality Warmbloods (4th, 5th, and 6th place horses all scored 68%!). I can't say enough wonderful things about Uthyr, but he needs someone with a wider pelvis then I have. Of course, he can be gelded, but he is quite easy to handle, and is trained to the phantom, so a wonderful opportunity for someone who wants a show horse and might want to do some breeding as well. Conformationally, he is uphill, wonderful back and loin, well set on neck, very much like a Warmblood type, but with Baroque flair. He has great legs, straight, correct, wonderful feet, good angles, and a wonderful hindquarters. Always healthy, always sound, he really is a perfect horse in every way. I do shave his feathers, but he will grow hair quickly for those who prefer the high feather look.
