Versteeg is a very handsome tall leggy foal with good bone and muscling. He has loads of presence with a character that is second to none; he is the easiest foal to work with we have ever known - extremely willing, friendly, confident, brave, and curious... ridiculously charming happy-go-lucky personality! His gaits show very promising upper level dressage potential - elastic, uphill, balanced, and animated. This cross should bring to the table high rideability suitable for both amateurs and professionals alike. This colt is a top dressage prospect and we are so extremely proud of him.
Versteeg's dam, Galaxie Noire, is one of the last daughters of Glorioso Noir, this mare is impeccably well bred on both the top and bottom of her pedigree which brings valuable G-line blood close up through her sire Glorioso Noir whose pedigree goes back to Goldfisch II seven times, and includes famous ancestors such as Grosse Liebe, Grundstein I, Goldstern, Gotthard, Grande, and Graphit. Her dam also brings in notable bloodlines such as Rubinstein I, Wenzel I, Ramiro Z, Bolero, and Argentinus.
Versteeg's sire, Vilancio, is a striking, first class stallion – always supple with an irresistible "look at me" factor. Vilancio possesses maximum balance in all three gaits, an attribute that he demonstrates under saddle. Vilancio completed his 30-day-test with the key aspect on dressage with a total score of 9.23 (interior 9.63, trot 9, canter 8.75, walk 10, conformation 10 and rideability 9.25). He has 3 licensed sons: Vilanciano, Veuve Cliquot HS, and Verlaine. His sire, Vitalis, has more than 33 licensed sons! Vitalis's sire, Vivaldi, has consistently been in the WBFSH top 10 ranking over the past few years and is recognized globally as an outstanding producer of sport horses and stallions. Vilancio's dam sire Lancet participated in two Olympic games.
