Westminster Abbey is a tall and leggy young mare with the bloodlines to be a true dual purpose horse. Bred for the big dressage venues, she also hails from an excellent jumping line and should be a contender in any discipline. She will mature to about 17h and is definitely eye candy with a good brain. Her sire, Fhitzgerald, is the son of Florencio, who won both the 5 and 6 year old World Dressage Championships. He hails from the coveted F line. Fhitzgerald's dam sire is the famous Weltmeyer. Westminster Abbey's dam sire is Warkant, who was the 2002 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year. Abbey's dam was imported from Germany and her last colt won the GOV 2012 North American Dressage Colt Champion. Abbey is this mare's first foal and was awarded a Premium at her inspection. Her grandsire, Warkant, sired over 46 States Premium mares and his daughters have all passed their mare performance tests with excellent results and he has an outstanding breeding evaluation index. Warkant won his stallion licensing and his offspring have been hugely successful at both auctions and competitions in Europe. Warkant is the sire of Wanessa (Federal Champion of the German Riding Horse), Wansuela Suerte (Grand Prix dressage horse under Hubertus Schmidt) and World Magic (qualified for the Nurumberg Championships) among others. Abbey's dam line is the coveted G-line that hails from Graphit and Grande. Abbey's dam was trained to Grand Prix by her owner, olympian Oded Shimoni.
