What a Steele (ATA registered 'Ionic') is a fancy, registered and branded warmblood (Trakehner) mare. Absolutely stunning looks, phenomenal movement and a fabulous personality! Ionic has the smoothest gates and is extremely comfortable to ride. Definitely a hack winner in the hunter ring with her lovely ground covering, daisy-cutter trot, gorgeously balanced canter rhythm and wow what a presence she has! Outstanding jumping ability - she easily jumps around 3ft courses with automatic changes and is schooling 3'3" at home. She is very athletic, talented and sensible! 2009 American Trakehner Association Baby Green Horse of the Year. 2009 Chester County Horse Show Association Grand Young Hunter Champion. She has loads of potential for upper level dressage (schooling Level 1 and Level 2 - lifetime USDF#).

Ionic’s sire is E.H. Herzzauber (1988) Trakehner stallion imported from Germany in 1994. He was the Grand Champion of his Keuring at Herbstgold Neuminster, Germany, in 1990. He was extremely successful in his 100 day test in Adelheisdorf, attaining an overall test score of 122.9, with a dressage score of 132. The honor of "Elite Hengst" (Elite Stallion) was bestowed on him in 2000 by the German Trakehner Verband. The Elite status was awarded as a result of the great success of his offspring in competition. E.H. Herzzauber has successfully competed in Prix St Georges/Intermediare Dressage, with placings to the national level. His temperament is absolutely wonderful. He has a soft, easy to sit back, with outstanding paces. He passes these traits on to his offspring.
