Luna is a blast to ride and an excellent broodmare. Solid first level dressage and doing well with her second level training. She has been used as a schoolmaster (for intermediate students, she's too forward for total beginners) and team practices for the Intercollegiate Dressage team at the University of Michigan. She participated in a costumed drill team performance at a large music festival just this past summer in July 2024 and did great!

She has was it takes to stand up against the warmbloods in the show ring and has already outperformed all the ones in Michigan as a broodmare! Her confirmation is excellent and combines solid structure with refinement and elegance. Her babies have both looked just like her. I'm keeping her first filly but people try to buy her all the time and her colt was sold almost immediately after going on the market. Luna is Oldenburg NA approved in the main mare book. She has had two foals by Gaudi (Totilas), both of whom achieved premium status at their inspections. Her 2023 colt was the high scoring foal at his inspection (when he started to trot, the audience audibly gasped! It was an awesome moment!). Her 2022 filly, you would frankly have to pry out of my cold dead hands but people try to buy her off of me regularly.

The only thing I can really criticize her for is being fussy and pawing in the cross ties and preferring to dance along next to you when leading in and out of pasture. She settles right down to work the second you swing a leg over her back though!

Easy to load, good for the farrier and the vet, including standing for repro work without sedation. Boss mare in the pasture but really good with babies. She was the babysitter for a freshly weaned filly out of another mare this past year and was really really good with her. Currently barefoot but may need front shoes if regularly worked on hard or uneven ground (she's a bit thin soled and can get tender). She is sound without maintenance although only being ridden occasionally at the moment.

I might consider a lease or breeding lease to the right situation. Let me know what you have in mind and we can try to figure out a good arrangement.
