Willow is the ultimate all-around pony; her specialty has been dressage, but she can also jump a 2'6" hunter course with ease, do a cross-country course, chase cows, do reining patterns, gallop to a sliding stop, and she enjoys trail rides. She does lead changes. Willow has an extensive show record, and has been consistently in the blue ribbons with her junior rider. She is an eye-catching standout at shows and seems to attract a fan club wherever she goes.
At 14 hands 1/2 " and 10 years old, Willow is suitable for either a Junior rider or a smaller Adult Amateur. This pony has a heart of gold and has been in a full-time professional training program since she was 4. Willow and her kid are quite a team and have accomplished so much in the 5 years that they have shown together. Last year her junior rider earned her USDF Bronze Medal at the age of 11 aboard Willow! They have just returned from the USEF Dressage National Championships where they placed 10th nationally in the Dressage Seat Medal Finals.
Willow has terrific ground manners, and is great with the farrier, vet, dentist, and body worker. She ties and clips. She loves to travel and has been trailered up to 3 days with no issues whatsoever. She and her kid have shown in Del Mar, Ca, Lamplight Equestrian Center in IL, and Estes Park in CO, as well as their home state of AZ.
You could describe Willow as brave, willing, sweet, fun-loving, sensitive, super intelligent, gentle with kids, and an easy keeper. She tries really hard to please her rider.
Willow has Lifetime USEF & USDF horse recording numbers, an FEI passport, and a Dressage and Driving Pony Card. Willow is a haflinger pony and is eligible to be registered as a North American Sport Pony.
We are sad at the prospect of having to sell "Willow the Wonder Pony", but at 5'8" and still growing, her junior rider needs a taller mount. Our top priority is to find the best home for her with someone that will take care of her and love her like we have.
