3 Diamonds Farm is proud to present for a client: Bodie, registered name Win Bigly! Bodie is a 8 year old, 16.2hh, New York bred Thoroughbred gelding. He is a stunning bay with a pretty blaze and white sock! Actually out of a gray mare, Bodie even has some adorable gray spots on his bay coat. A nicely built horse with great bone and confirmation. Bodie has a very sporty pedigree with his sire being Courageous Cat and continuing back to Secretariat. Bodie raced a total of twelve times in New York, finishing third once, second once, and winning three times, making a total of $44,627. Last raced in October of 2020, Bodie has been let down, restarted, and is enjoying his new job of the last three years being a show hunter and jumper! Bodie’s flatwork is also nice enough for the dressage court. On top of that, he has perfect confirmed auto lead changes!

Bodie is a very talented show horse, already racking up the ribbons in the hunter and jumper rings. With a ton of experience showing, Bodie has done a bit of everything very successfully. Most recently, he was reserve champion in the training division at Culpeper. He’s also competed at Upperville, Loudoun, Middleburg, Morven, Piedmont, and Commonwealth, both in hunters and jumpers. In jumpers, Bodie easily does the 0.80m, 0.90m, and 1.0m with scope for so much more! In hunters, he does 2’6” and 2’9” classes with ease, but has the talent to move up the levels and do the bigger classes today. And he is schooling higher at home currently. Bodie has beautiful, classic form over fences to compete in hunters, including perfect, clean lead changes! He is also a lovely mover on the flat, holding his own in the hack and under saddle classes, but with enough power and scope for jumpers too. A very adjustable horse jumping, happy to add or take a long spot, a super forgiving mount. He has beautiful rhythm, a tidy jump, and is a very honest jumper too. While he doesn’t have experience per say in dressage, he has the quality of movement on the flat to be competitive as a dressage horse too. Bodie has also been out foxhunting and to hunter paces. He enjoys trail riding with friends and is getting more confident heading out on his own too.

On top of that, Bodie has a lovely pet personality and is easy to have in the barn. He is well-traveled and easy off the property, unfazed by big show environments. Bodie is happy to go school at show venues (and anywhere new), hopping on the trailer for all his adventures. While Bodie does prefer a buddy in the trailer with him, he is improving at traveling on his own all the time. Happy to stand for tacking, grooming, baths, and clipping. Perfect for the vet and farrier. Stands nicely at the mounting block and will even park at the mounting block for dismounting. Perfect on the cross ties. Great ground manners. Easy in his turnout group. No maintenance. He only wears four regular shoes. No prep needed, just let him settle into his show day routine with a little walk around. Bodie is happy to stand quietly ringside for a full day of showing too. He’s also a safe horse. While he may notice some odd things from time to time, giving a little look at something odd, he would never do anything naughty. No spook, can take a joke, and can help correct a rider’s mistakes as he is a confident horse jumping. No stop in this horse either! Very point and shoot feeling jumping.
