FEI Dressage Prospect, AHS Filly

11/3- Sale Pending

FEI dressage prospect by the GP Elite Stallion Werbellin (Weltmeyer) and out of Red Robin (ES Rienzi/Donnerhall/Feiner Stern). Multiple competitive FEI horses in her pedigree from top to bottom.

This sweet 2017 filly is confident and kind. She has a wonderfully built hind end which is easy to envision future collection for FEI. She also has the grace, fluidity, and chrome to excel in hunters - Dam sire Rienzi is very popular in the hunter circuit. WINGS is a perfect prospect for the ambitious amateur or professional in seek of a smaller, easier-to-ride package - she's expected to mature to 16/16.1 hands. The D-W Hanoverians are well known for possessing professional gaits with an excellent mind.

Both sire, Werbellin, and dam, Red Robin, are powerful movers with substantial bone. Longevity is one of our primary breeding goals here at Telos Farm. Werbellin continues to be ridden at the FEI levels into his 20s, and competes with a young rider. Werbellin was imported from Germany, and as a young horse he did quite well in the young jumpers series in Europe before transitioning to dressage. He has sired numerous high level dressage horses as well as excellent hunters. (visit Greengate Stud website for additional detail)

Dam Red Robin (ES Renzi/Donnerhall/Feiner Stern) is from the famous Marefield Meadows (VA) breeding program. Her full sister was the 2014 National AHS Futurity Champion with a score of 78%. She has fantastic feet (tough soles, grows out very evenly, and great angles with no clubbing). Robin is a laid-back and confident mare. She possesses great hind end power and a free reaching shoulder. Lovely uphill neck connection and a kind, sweet personality. If she could fit through our front door, you would find her on the couch with her head on your lap. She is extremely sensible and takes all training and new situations extremely well. A true amateur's dream horse! All the same, her gaits are professional quality with extreme power from behind and great schwung. She has a clear, rhythmic walk and a balanced canter. She has been lightly started under saddle and is an easy going horse to ride, but with a powerful engine and athletic gaits. She's been such a great producer for us that her under saddle career is on the back burner.

More info on sire, ES Werbellin (Weltmeyer):
In the German Hanoverian Stallion Book, it is written that he is “a versatile riding horse of the best quality, who is bred out of well-proven performance bloodlines”. Werbellin competed at FEI dressage with scores up to 75% at I-1 under Chris Hickey but before import to the US, was shown in young horse jumper classes in Germany, winning 19 of them! Werbellin is the only Class #1 Weltemeyer son standing in the USA. Werbellin has a fantastic, active hind leg and a wonderful ability to sit. He has great reach and elasticity in the shoulder. Following his successful dressage career under Mr. Hickey, Werbellin competed at NAJYRC under many junior and young riders - showcasing his amazing soundness, longevity, and workable temperament. He has really done it all!

We work with our foals daily and have the farrier trim them every four weeks to gain positive experience and ensure their feet are growing out properly. We also teach them that the trailer is a fun place for a snack and a ride around the block. Our goal is to teach foals from their very first breath that yes, they need to respect people, but more importantly they can trust us as their friends and leaders. To come to us for scratches and love at any opportunity. They need not fear aggressive human hands. From that confidence, a lifelong partnership under saddle will begin! References available from happy owners of previous foals, our vet and farrier, and current and past trainers.

All care of foal through weaning included in price, as well as registration, inspection costs, USDF and USEF lifetime numbers.

Foal raising is also available through 3/4 years at very affordable boarding rates.

At our farm we offer reimbursement for your flight fare or mileage should you choose to come and meet our horses before purchasing. Ask for more details!

Telos Farm Warmbloods

Telos Farm Warmbloods, LLC is a breeding farm located in the beautiful rolling countryside of Columbia City, Indiana. We strive to produce quality warmblood horses (Trakehner and Hanoverian heritage) with excellent temperaments, athleticism and longevity. While our primary focus is dressage, we often have eventers or hunters for sale and will thoroughly evaluate each horses's potential for the various show rings. We prefer horses with calm, trainable temperaments, but still possessing good gaits and rideability for dressage, particularly the walk. Potential "keeper" broodmares are brought to their mare performance testing to achieve the elusive 'elite mare' status. Other broodmares come to our farm following a successful sport career. Telos was founded and is managed by Sarah Randolph who competed through 4th level dressage and evented through Preliminary . Her working student experience as a youth with 4* FEI Judge and stallion owner/breeder Jeanne McDonald gave her a great basis for developing young horses and choosing the right mares and stallions for the Telos program. Sarah continues to run the gamut of needs on a breeding farm, from choosing the best pairings, ultrasounding and inseminating mares, designing the broodmare nutrition program, foaling out, and then the fun part - working with the foals and young horses so they learn how to be excellent riding partners for their years to come. Sarah also begins long-lining late 2 year olds, and starts them under saddle as late 3 year olds, early 4. She works with talented trainers to help bring out the best in them, taking clinics with Jeanne McDonald, Whitney Peterson-McIntosh, and a classical focus from Lynda Weese. Thank you for reading about our program! We believe that quality should come over quantity when raising horses the right way, and we appreciate horses bred for athleticism, temperament, and longevity.
