Raquel is an elegant, sweet and talented large pony, the perfect mount for a child desiring a versatile, steady mount or for an adult desiring a safe and sane companion to move up the ranks of dressage, trail ride, and be a best friend. Raquel is really lovely--she has a very good walk and canter and an excellent trot. Her ground manners are perfect--quiet, curious, hilarious sometimes [she has been known to pick up a halter in her teeth, walk to the muddy spot, drop it and then step on it enroute to her field, just because she can] and loads, clips, takes shots--everything--all in stride. She has an inner confidence, without too much pony 'tude, that made her a peach to start under saddle--no bucking or drama. She has had a month of professional under saddle riding and the past month she's been kept going with regular riding lessons in the ring and on the trail. On the trail, she marches out and can keep up with bigger horses; she's forward yet calm. Now going w/t/c under saddle. She rides much bigger than her size because of the talent she's inherited from sire and dam. Her trainer states, "She is so light in the bridle and her canter is uphill and easy to ride." FEI Champion North Forks Cardi [now showing I1 and winning championships at that level: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YkHUPN23XM] and Winterlake Juliet have both distinguished themselves in the showring. Cardi is a many-times champion in dressage and now enjoying cross training on the eventing field. He has won USDF Dressage Sporthorse Classes Inhand with one judge stating 'He uses all of himself better than the other warmbloods in this class". Juliet was Res. National Champion 2 and Under Sec. C/D Fillies in the Welsh Pony & Cob Society of America. She is now being ridden up the levels in dressage and very much loved in California by her 40-ish owner. I desire a home for Raquel where she can live like a horse--pasture or a place to run and park around. She's 100% healthy and sound, never has had a sick day. She will be a delight to whomever discovers her and you will have a life-long best girlfriend to boot. And yes, she's a chestnut out of two bays! Photos of hairy Raquel this winter at liberty, going under saddle, sire Cardi winning at the Golden State Dressage Festival and dam Juliet being tried by her now new owner. STOP PRESS: SIRE CARDI just won the FEI MUSICAL FREESTYLE CHAMPIONSHIP at the Dressage at Devonwood Show with a 70.75% for Intermediaire 1 and won 1st at I-1 with a 68.289%. Price to increase once we begin going to dressage shows.
Chosen for her dressage potential, rideability, curious beautiful self. I'm so pleased Raquel will have such a great home!! Thank you Eva!
