Without a Doubt (aka London) is a 2012 16.1h Hanovarian Mare by Worthy Opponent by Waikiki out of TB mare, Stirring up Demons. She is papered and branded. Clean legs, good feet, solid confirmation, no stable vices, and no known health issues. She is an excellent eventing or jumper prospect. Currently schooling over 2'9" with plenty of scope for much more. Free jumps 4' with ease. She is very brave over fences and seems to enjoy jumping. London has 3 nice gaits. She is an "in your pocket" mare with a charming personality and is very affectionate. We have been told by experienced trainers who have ridden her that she is "very smart" and learns quickly. Although she is working well at home and has gone to several clinics and camps with our daughter, she has not been competed (my vet says this just means she hasn't been pounded and her legs are clean!) London is very well trained to the aids...she steps easily off your leg and is steady in the bridle with good bend at the poll and rib cage.
London will require a confident, experienced rider. We bought this mare as a 6 year old for our 13 year old daughter who does well with her at home and at clinics, but is not confident taking her to competitions. Many of the clips in the attached video are of our daughter along with a couple of trainers. Through no fault of her own, London has had the misfortune of being sold at an early age to two young amateurs who have not helped the horse to gain confidence. This is the reason she is not further along than she is. She likes to work and a confident rider who allows her to move forward will be very pleased with her eagerness to go. The right person could take her far. Our trainer is such a rider and she gets excellent results.
Because she needs confidence and a human leader, we will only sell to an adult experienced rider to protect London from ending up in a bad place through no fault of her own. Having experienced trainers riding her, I see how we are not doing her justice. The right person will get a great deal on this mare!
London is easy to work with and mild mannered 95% of the time. She does not kick, bite, or even pin her ears at people or other horses. I have used natural horsemanship on the ground to teach loading, ground tying, leading, and lunging. She does all these things well. She does, however, get stressed/worried and needs an experienced, calm but firm handler to introduce her to new situations.
I am the most honest seller you will find. I care very much about this mare and I want to find a good match. Unfortunately, my young daughter just does not have the patience or confidence to give a green horse. I've held out hopes that they will come around, but my daughter is happy just going novice with her older mare.
