Zoey is a 13.2 hand, 10 year-old, Welsh cross mare (not registered). She is very gentle and kind. She has impeccable ground manners and loves kids. She is a very pretty mover and cute jumper and has potential as a show pony. Up to this point she has mostly been used as a trail and pleasure horse, and is great on the trail.

We bred her in 2012 by AI to the German Riding Pony Popeye and she had a beautiful foal by him in 2013. Zoey was a very easy breeder and settled in foal with her first breeding. She had a problem-free pregnancy and was a natural and wonderful mother to her foal.

Since weaning her foal Zoey has been in professional training with Connie Tuor at Windfall Training Stables in Damascus, Oregon for the past 6 months. In training she shows a lot of promise as a dressage or hunter pony, with beautiful leg yields and gorgeous movement. She is sensitive to the aids and for this reason she is best suited for an intermediate rider with quiet aids. On the ground she is appropriate for beginners and children as she is very gentle.

Zoey is lightly started over fences and is a cute and honest jumper. She also shows potential as an endurance prospect because she loves the trail, loves water, and will go all day. She also has potential as a cart / driving pony because her trot is her strongest gait.

Zoey is very hearty and healthy. She is sound and sure-footed and has never taken a lame step. She has beautiful, sturdy feet and doesn’t need shoes. She is up to date on worming and vaccines, and her feet have been well-maintained. She is the easiest horse to load in the trailer, literally jumps right in.

Zoey is a very sweet horse and she makes a strong connection to her humans. This mare really wants to please!
