Our Head Trainer Susanne Benne's partner for the past 8 years. Liebling was bought by Susanne Benne and Mary Gleason, when they discovered him in a field as a yearling in Canada, he grew for another couple of years, until he made his way to Half Halt Stables, as a 3 year old. There he was started by Susanne, and has been trained and ridden by her ever since.

Happy would best suit an ambitious athletic rider who doesn’t have the 6+ figure budget to get their feet in the game. He is a light and sensitive type ride. Very elastic and athletic. He has his preferences and quirks but is certainly rideable and competitive.

Leo is a safe and fun schoolmaster being brought back into FEI fitness after several years packing around an amateur at the lower levels. He is confirmed in all of the work through intermediare with three good gaits that are easy to sit.

Leo would be best suited to a rider looking for their silver medal and possibly beyond, as he is energetic and sound. He is not an alpha and prefers his buddies and needs occasional reassurance from his rider, so is not suitable for a total novice.

Gatsby is a loveable 13 year old imported gelding by Jazz out of a Florestan I. He is not hot or spooky, and would be suitable for someone who prefers a quieter ride. Gatsby is 16.2 hands and is a proven CDI small tour horse, with scores up to 68%. Gatsby has been to NAYC twice with me, and performed in front of crowds of a
1,500+ people. He is currently doing all of the Grand Prix. Gatsby is reliable at shows, quiet on hacks, he loves his turnout and to be paid attention too. Gatsby has had a lot of exposure at a multitude of different venues.
