Ferdinand is an Elite foal and the Champion of is inspection from the Oldenburg Verband breed. He is by Fũrst Romantic, a young stallion by For Romance X Sir Donnerhall. His mother Carmella (Cabardino X Viva Voltaire) is a well known Canadian champion hunter, winning several times in Derby, High Performance Hunter and Combine Hunter classes up to 3.9 feet.
